There will be no place for our dogs...unless you act now!

Kent is growing quickly!   Space to exercise, train, and play with our dogs is disappearing. We turn to parks and play-fields as the last available places to be with our dogs and friends. Increased demand for existing park facilities will push dog owners out of the picture unless we establish our place now!  Kent Parks and Recreation provides facilities for children’s play, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, roller-blades, picnics, theater, racquetball, and jogging. But there is not one place where we can legally meet to throw a Frisbee for our puppies or let them run and play. Our taxes help support the parks but we have no piece of the action!

KDOGS exists to meet this challenge. We work with Kent city leaders and SODA to establish both regional and local off-leash areas. Kent leaders were receptive to our needs and Kent parks management lead the way to create our first regional off-leash area, Grandview Park in the city of Seatac. We are told by Kent Parks that a regional East Hill off-leash area and/or several smaller neighborhood off-leash areas in Kent will follow, but KDOGS members need to continue to actively support Grandview Park, and help us inform the Kent Parks Dept. of our off-leash needs on the Kent East Hill.

Join KDOGS in our quest to bring off-leash recreation to your community.
